fooking Turkish guns....

Postby The Burpster » Sun May 25, 2008 11:43 am

I still want to hate the Hatstand Escrot (20g) that I have so I can justify getting a Beretta.. but yesterday had a cracking day deeking Crows, and gave up after 75 shots and 50 kills..... Not a single miss feed, not a single missfire....Treated it like sh1te and it keeps coming back for more....

Damn it,

Damn it,

Damn it.......

Don't worry, won't be long till something fails.........I had the 12b version and it lasted a good 10,000 rounds......until it broke the firing pin and bolt lock in one go!
From what I've heard, you either get a good 'un or a bad 'un......I thought mine was in the first category as it had done so well for so long.
As you say though, I couldn't really fault mine up until that point, even with 24g shells it never jammed or refused to cycle.

I've had two of the 12g ones. Cheap as chips and they work just fine. I've always regarded shotties as a blunt instrument and never have seen any point in lashing big money on one. A cheap one shoots just as well as an expensive one. Rifles are a 100% different matter.

Just bought one at the weekend so these comments are putting my mind at rest!

Not much chance of me putting 10000 rounds through it for a very long time!!

3 year warranty IIRC. Given typical use, if they fall apart after that it shouldn't owe you anything. Not that I'd expect it to fall apart.

Even with the 3yr warranty, parts from Edgars are cheaper than nasty chips....

Just cannot fault it for what it cost!

i have the 30 inch 12 bore black synthetic, i could use it to hammer in the hide poles and it would still shoot pigeons all day long, for a cheap shottie it's pure ronseal, does exactly what it says on the tin.

I've got a Hatsan and so far it's fired every time I pulled the trigger. I don't shoot it a great deal as I usally use my Beretta 686 when I go clay bashing but it's fire a couple 1000 without any problems except the odd shove pipe.
