I recently picked up a new old gun. It a Cogswell and Harrison 12 gauge double barrel side plated box lock shotgun. It's a pretty nice old gun I'm guessing of turn of the 20th century vintage. The model is a the Blagdon or at least that is what is says on the barrels. There a dearth of information about these guns. I bought a book on the Cogswell and Harrison gunmakers and their guns. I give a goods overview but lacks in details considering the company has been in business somewhat forever. I have some 7/8 ounce 2 1/2 loads (5 ton) and I'm looking forward the shooting it. Anybody else own one of these, perhaps SidebySide. They look like lots of fun.
