Any local lads interested in some shotgun shells?

Postby humperdingle » Mon Sep 29, 2008 4:19 pm

I was considering buying some subsonic shotgun cartridges (can't seem to get them round here) from www.justcartridges.co.uk.

Now, obviously the delivery charge is a touch on the steep side for 500 or so, so is there any of you local guys who might be interested in collating a purchase, and spreading the cost of delivery?

Crappy? They may sound like shooting up a drainpipe, but are a lot cheaper than buying a hushpower!

No seriously, they still do the job, and are very quiet from 50 yards away. Our shoot at Cupar has a row of houses 100 yards away, so it's in my gentle nature (!) to be as quiet as reasonably possible.

Nuts nuts and indeed nuts! Oh well never mind. My local shop didn't have anything for under £180 per thousand so i went to just cartridges. Lets just say at that price it would have paid me to drive down from Arbroath.

I believe or so the story goes, the shop owner made a slight fowl up of an invoice and has to try and make some cash to make up his loss.

I'd probably take 500 subs if there was a group-buy, maybe some 410 carts.

What about a clay shoot someplace? Anybody interested in that?
