Pigeons

Postby Foxy » Mon Jun 23, 2008 12:38 am

I have had a visit from a mate tonight who found a field of feeding pigeons today.
He shot 147 pigeons for 275 shots in 2 1/2 hours.
Conditions were overcast with bright spells and a almost gale force wind.
Any body else do well today

one of the best days i have had was same conditions, they go like rockets! , and don't worry about the shot count because until you have tried to shoot a pigeon with the wind up its arse, doing 60 mph then you have never been challenged!!

I would imagine you would need a fair bit of lead for shooting a doo at 60 mph?

Thanks.

It's hard enough even spotting one at that velocity let alone shouldering a gun and shooting!

Clays at that speed are a different matter because the speed and direction are consistent.

Lol I know... that's a ludicrous amount for one man to shoot!

The local farmers would be better breeding birds than growing crops if they can produce that many
