Back yard shooting range

Postby Deallad » Fri Apr 10, 2020 2:21 pm

With the Chinese bat flu lockdown taking place I decided to build a range in the back garden.

Its only used for 22 subsonic ammo, uses a steel commercial bullet trap designed for up to 44mag and has the 7ft high garage wall as a last resort backstop. all lead is captured by the trap

Shooting from the patio gives me the perfect 25 yards, so with the club closed and shooting not regarded as essential travel having a private range is the way to go.

The house next door is un occupied and the other side are never there. It's the perfect way to spend an hour in the garden.

Happy Easter all, stay safe

The local outside ranges are still open in my area of New England however there are on organized shooting events. I haven't been to a gun store but as I understand they are still open for business in Rhode Island. There were too many people in the last store that I visited for my virus comfort zone. I'd love place a small air rifle range in my backyard but the neighbors are close and would complain. It's nice if you can do shoot like that.
The faster I go, the older I get.
