Does this knife remind you of anybody on the forum who would be best suited for such a toy.

That "knife" is a skien dhu normally worn in the the sock or stocking on the right calf while wearing the traditional kilt outfit, and from the lines on the blade it looks like a mighty fine multi folded steel blade, all in all a very nice skien dhu I personally have a modern version which does the job but that one is a stunner

Dave, the fellow who did the work is Carl Dumke. I don’t know him at all however he is a fellow member of a long rifle association that meets once a year in Lexington, Kentucky. He primarily does powder horn scrimshaw. I found this blurb about him and his contact information. Usually these things are one of a kind and not inexpensive. It’s a cool looking knife and I thought of you when I saw the image.

“Col. Carl Dumke, USAF is a twenty-two year career military man stationed in Williamsburg, Virginia. Carl Dumke does take on commissions for trade signs on occasion. You may reach him through his email address, which is cdumke99@aol.com.”
