You are right. Most of the time I'm like a 12 yr old kid. The frog spawn developed today. Small things make my life worth the effort. :)

Weird, I was messing about with the tadpoles in the mountain pools yesterday, we are all bloody kids on here!!!

Yeah and I've got furry bandits that hang out (literally) on my porch at all hours of the night.

Sure, they'll all be done just in time for breakfast!

We have no frogspawn in the garden yet but I'm keeping my eyes peeled for newt eggs this year   . we had to clean out the large pond at school due to a leak in the liner and it was heaving with newts, great crested and smooth I think, these were distributed around the staff with ponds to spread the species and to then try and return some once the pond was repaired  I think its easier to identify the tadpoles once they hatch, as the eggs are difficult to spot. It was the first time I'd seen newts for many years. I will let you know if they breed successfully

Newts.. I had a washing bowl buried in the front garden with a slate ramp in it. Memories :) Twelve is a good age to dig and be in trouble with parents. I had a lot of fun with an orange washing up bowl and a pond that was a main road crossing and far away. Seriously-if you have kids, spend time with them. Memories last for ever!
